Four Suspects Arrested for Snatching Toyota Highlander at Gunpoint in Edo State

The Edo State Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with the armed robbery of a Toyota Highlander in Ekpoma.

The suspects, identified as Ifeanyi Okpara (26), Dennis Okosun (25), and Edwin Iruogbe (27), allegedly stole the vehicle with registration number RBC 66 AQ. The car was later sold to Shehu Ismail (25) for ₦1.5 million.

The vehicle’s owner, Iwologbe Rapheal, reported the theft to the police on August 23. Following a tech-driven investigation by the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, the stolen vehicle was recovered, and all four suspects were apprehended.

Residents of Lagos should prepare for traffic disruptions as several roads will be closed due to the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is set to commission infrastructural projects.

The commissioning will take place on April 8 and 9, 2026.

Affected areas on Wednesday (April 8):
Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Ojota, and Victoria Island.

Affected areas on Thursday (April 9):
Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Ajegunle.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect heavy traffic during these periods.
