Gunman Dead, Two Children Critical After Northern California School Shooting

Two young boys, aged 5 and 6, are in critical condition after being shot at Feather River School of Seventh-Day Adventists in Palermo, Northern California, on Wednesday, Dec. 4.

The gunman, who reportedly targeted the school due to its religious affiliation, died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.

Butte County Sheriff Kory L. Honea stated there is no evidence the gunman had prior connections to the victims or the school but could not confirm if it was a hate crime.

The incident occurred at the private Christian school, which has fewer than three dozen students.

The wounded children are receiving treatment at a trauma center in Sacramento. Sheriff Honea expressed hope for their recovery, acknowledging the challenges ahead.

Residents of Lagos should prepare for traffic disruptions as several roads will be closed due to the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is set to commission infrastructural projects.

The commissioning will take place on April 8 and 9, 2026.

Affected areas on Wednesday (April 8):
Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Ojota, and Victoria Island.

Affected areas on Thursday (April 9):
Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Ajegunle.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and expect heavy traffic during these periods.
