Oyo SUBEB Arrests Job Seeker for Alleged Forgery of Recruitment Result
The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has apprehended Abosede Ojo, a middle-aged job seeker, for allegedly falsifying her recruitment portal result. The arrest occurred during a verification exercise on Thursday evening in Ibadan, the state capital.
Board Chairman Nureni Adeniran confirmed the development on Friday, December 6, stating that the suspect had been handed over to the police for further investigation.
According to Adeniran, Ojo, who scored 36 in the Computer-Based Test (CBT), reportedly conspired with an examination syndicate to forge a fake congratulatory message.
“The suspect confessed that she did not attend the interview but colluded with her husband to secure a falsified congratulatory message,” Adeniran revealed.
Investigators are currently probing transactions between the suspect and the cyber-café where the fraudulent document was printed. Adeniran assured that the board is committed to apprehending all parties involved in the forgery.
The chairman issued a stern warning to others contemplating such fraudulent acts, emphasizing that offenders would face the full extent of the law.
