“His Focus on Football Has Taken Him to This Level” – Ademola Lookman’s Father
The father of Ademola Lookman, who was recently named the 2024 CAF Men’s Player of the Year, has shown pride in his son’s achievements.
He was honored with Africa’s prestigious football award during a grand ceremony held in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night.
With his victory, Lookman joins an elite list of Nigerian footballers, becoming the sixth player from the country to receive the coveted title.
Also, he follows in the footsteps of his compatriot Victor Osimhen, who won the award the previous year.
Lookman’s father, who attended the ceremony with his son, couldn’t be prouder of the winger’s success.
He spoke to LiveScore, mentioning his son’s relentless commitment to the game and his desire to stay out of the limelight.
According to the elder Lookman, his son’s focus has always been on improving his skills and making meaningful contributions to his team rather than seeking attention.
“I am extremely proud of him,” the father said.
“Ademola is a very committed player, and what stands out the most is his humility.
He doesn’t seek unnecessary publicity or fame.
His primary focus has always been football, and it is this determination and dedication that has led him to achieve such great success.”
Lookman, who currently plays for Atalanta in Italy’s Serie A, has earned recognition not only for his on-field talent but also for his strong work ethic and professionalism.

West Ham Eyes Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu to Replace Aging Fabianski in January
West Ham United are reportedly eyeing a move for Freiburg’s promising goalkeeper, Noah Atubolu, in the upcoming January transfer window.
The Premier League club is actively seeking a reliable successor for their veteran goalkeeper, Lukasz Fabianski, whose career is approaching its climax.
Fabianski, who turns 40 this year, has been a key figure at West Ham since he joined from Swansea City in 2018.
Known for his consistent performances and experience between the posts, Fabianski has been a dependable choice for the Hammers.
However, his age suggests retirement might be imminent, likely at the end of the season.
To maintain stability in their goalkeeping department, West Ham is eager to bring in fresh talent who can step into the role seamlessly.
Noah Atubolu has caught the attention of West Ham’s scouting team due to his impressive performances in the Bundesliga.
The Nigerian-born 22-year-old currently plays for SC Freiburg and is regarded as one of the top young goalkeepers in Germany’s top-flight league.
Atubolu, who came through Freiburg’s youth academy, has shown composure, agility, and excellent shot-stopping abilities, making him a standout prospect.
The young goalkeeper is reportedly open to the idea of playing in England, which could make negotiations smoother for West Ham.
His confidence and ability to adapt to high-pressure situations make him a strong candidate to succeed in one of the most competitive football leagues in the world.
