Casemiro Says He Wants to Stay at Man United Till His Contract Ends in 2026
Manchester United’s Casemiro has expressed his desire to stay at the club until his contract ends in 2026. Despite facing limited playing time under manager Ruben Amorim, the Brazilian midfielder is determined to see out his contract.
He started in United’s recent 1-0 loss at Tottenham, a result influenced by squad injuries, but had previously been left out of the starting XI for 10 of the last 11 league games.
Though Casemiro has had to adjust to a reduced role, he remains focused on staying professional. “I have to continue doing my job with respect and good behavior,” he shared in an interview with Diario AS.
He added, “I’d love to play more. I don’t think there’s any player who wouldn’t. But I want to contribute to the team in this moment. I approach everything with respect for my teammates and staff, and, most importantly, respect for the club.”
Casemiro also confirmed that he has no plans to leave soon. “I have a year and a half left on my contract, and I hope to fulfill it here in Manchester.
I feel at home here, and my family does too. We’re all adapting, speaking English, and we’re grateful to the fans and the club. I’m content here, although, of course, I’d rather be playing than sitting on the bench.”

“Even if, for me, in fact, he doesn’t have the Ballon d’Or unanimously because his World Cup was average, even being average, he won it with Spain. He won La Liga with Barça.”
