APC Clears the Air on Claims That Tinubu Is Angry with Ganduje Over His Resignation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to rumours suggesting that President Bola Tinubu may have been displeased with Abdullahi Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano State, who recently stepped down as the party’s National Chairman.
There have been claims that Tinubu’s alleged dissatisfaction with Ganduje played a role in his resignation. However, APC’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, dismissed those claims during an interview with Channels Television on Sunday, describing them as mere speculation.
Morka explained that only President Tinubu can personally address the matter concerning Ganduje if he chooses to. “The President is free to speak on any issue whenever he feels like it. He hasn’t said anything about this, so people are just speculating. But we don’t run on speculation,” Morka stated.
Last week, the APC confirmed Ganduje’s resignation, which took immediate effect. The official reason given was that Ganduje was stepping down to focus on “pressing personal matters.”

Governor Adeleke Says He’s Staying in PDP and Will Keep Serving Osun State

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has dismissed rumours that he plans to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), making it clear that he’s staying put.
Speaking during the flag-off of the 3.5km Ila township road dualisation project in Ila-Orangun, Adeleke reaffirmed his commitment to both the party and the people of the state. He stressed that his mission remains focused on service and development, not political distractions.
Despite the uncertainty in the country, Adeleke expressed joy over the kickoff of the road project, describing it as a step forward in his administration’s promise to transform infrastructure across Osun.
He proudly highlighted the achievements so far, saying his government has already completed over 175 kilometres of roadwork. He also noted that several other major projects, including flyovers and dualised roads, are actively progressing.
One of the key projects, according to him, is the 39km Osogbo–Ikirun–Inisha–Okuku–Ijabe–Ila Odo road that links the state to Kwara. Adeleke stressed that its completion is a top priority for his administration.
“I was elected under the PDP and I will remain in the PDP,” Adeleke said. “We’ve started a second phase that’s almost as long as what took 12 years to finish. By God’s grace, we’ll complete it within a year.” He ended by calling the gathering a divine moment, saying everyone present is part of a bigger plan guided by God.

“Buhari Would Have Supported EndSARS Protest If It Was Peaceful” – Garba Shehu

Garba Shehu, former spokesperson for late President Muhammadu Buhari, has said the former leader would have supported the EndSARS protests if they had remained peaceful. Speaking during an interview on Arise TV’s Morning Show, Shehu noted that Buhari initially saw the movement as a genuine expression of public concern and would have welcomed it.
However, Shehu explained that things took a different turn when the protests were overtaken by violence, vandalism, and attacks on law enforcement. He pointed out that the government responded early with offers of dialogue and even took steps like disbanding SARS to address the concerns raised.
But according to him, once the protest turned into a security crisis, marked by arson, destruction of public property, and loss of lives, no responsible government could sit back and watch. He emphasized that Buhari was deeply disturbed by how things unfolded, especially with the chaos in Lagos and other cities, and hoped such an incident never happens again in Nigeria.
