July 2025 is hoping to be packed with fresh Korean dramas and one huge fantasy movie fans have been waiting for. From intense legal stories to treasure hunts and even a world-ending fight for survival, there’s a lot dropping this month. Here’s the list.

Law and the City – Premieres July 5

If you love dramas with smart lawyers, friendship, and real-life struggles, this one’s for you. Law and the City follows five young lawyers working in the heart of Seoul. They’re all trying to make a name for themselves in the crazy world of law while dealing with their own personal drama behind the scenes.

Big names like Lee Jong-suk and Moon Ga-young lead the cast. It’s Lee Jong-suk’s first big role since his military service, and fans are hyped to see him back. Expect plenty of courtroom tension, late-night office talks, and that classic friends-turn-family vibe.

Catch it every Saturday and Sunday on tvN, with global viewers able to stream it on Disney+.

Low Life – Premieres July 16

Next up is Low Life, a gritty crime drama with a bit of humor mixed in. Set in the 1970s, it follows a street-smart con artist, Oh Gwan-seok, and his clueless nephew, Oh Hee-dong, as they chase after a hidden treasure. But this isn’t your typical treasure hunt, there’s betrayal, old-school gangster action, and lots of crazy twists.

Omniscient Reader: The Prophet – Hits July 23

Probably the most talked-about release this month is Omniscient Reader: The Prophet. This movie is based on the massively popular web novel Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint, and fans have been buzzing about it for months.

The story follows Kim Dok-ja, an ordinary office worker who suddenly finds himself inside the world of a novel he’s been reading. Now, the fate of humanity rests on him using everything he knows about the story to survive, and maybe change how it ends.

The cast is stacked. Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kim Dok-ja, Lee Min-ho takes on the role of Yoo Joong-hyuk, and there are appearances from BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Chae Soo-bin, Nana, and more.
