Datti Baba-Ahmed Says He Is Ready to Team Up with Peter Obi Again in 2027
Labour Party’s 2023 vice-presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, has hinted that he is open to teaming up again with Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential race, on one condition: Nigeria’s electoral system must be credible.
Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Friday, Baba-Ahmed said his commitment to Nigeria remains strong and that he would align with individuals and groups who share his vision for the country.
“If Nigeria still stands and there’s a proper electoral process, my love for this nation is undying,” he said, stressing that Obi remains a figure he deeply respects. “There are two individuals I would willingly follow. The first has not spoken publicly, so I won’t reveal his name. The second is Peter Obi, always Peter Obi, until he chooses otherwise.”
When asked about the possibility of working with former Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi, he clarified, “The first person is not Amaechi. Amaechi is a good man, but why do you think I must always be a deputy? Stop looking at me only as a deputy.”

Media personality Dele then reacted and questioned why she would do something like that, asking if she would have done the same kind of interruption if it were the recitation of the Qur’an.

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Speaks on Forgiveness and Moving Forward
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has shared that she has forgiven those who betrayed her husband during the 2023 general elections.
She revealed this as she marked a new age, reflecting on what the future holds. She emphasized that she holds no grudge against anyone.
“I do not have anything against anyone. The question is how I stopped feeling the betrayal? I knew the grace factor was evident, and the Holy Spirit continually comforted me. I chose never to avenge myself, understanding that it is God’s prerogative. Mine is to thank Him for fighting for us. If God decides to fight your battles and you have won, is there anything else that God missed and you wanted to fix? Nothing. So, let it go.”
