‘Leave Before It Gets Worse’ — Ngozi Nwosu Speaks on Domestic Violence in Marriage
Nigerian actress Ngozi Nwosu has opened up about her marriage, revealing that she was abused by her late husband.
During a conversation with fellow actress Ayo Adesanya, Nwosu shared that she once considered leaving the relationship but was convinced otherwise by her sister, which made her stay.
Her sister had advised her that her husband would calm down after they got married — but that turned out not to be true.
Nwosu said, “Once a man hits you, be prepared for it to continue. It doesn’t just stop.” She added, “If you notice violence before the wedding, it won’t disappear after. Don’t wait, don’t hope. Leave before it becomes worse.”
