Ambush in Imo State: Gunmen Kill Four, Including Teenager

Unknown gunmen ambushed a patrol vehicle in Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, killing three vigilante operatives and a teenager on Sunday evening, July 7, 2024.

The attack occurred near Afor Umuaka and Hilltop Primary School, where the assailants overtook the community security vehicle and opened fire. The State Police Command has deployed a tactical squad to apprehend the attackers.

Commissioner of Police, CP Aboki Danjuma, condemned the attack and vowed to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Israel admitted to initiating a “new era” of war after two consecutive days of explosive attacks targeting Hezbollah in Lebanon.

On Tuesday, pager explosions killed several, including children, and wounded over 2,800. A second wave on Wednesday, involving walkie-talkies and phones, killed at least 20 and injured 450.
