Following the death of country music legend Dolly Parton on August 25, 2026, singer Billy Ray Cyrus has shared an emotional tribute to his longtime friend.

Cyrus recalled their decades-long friendship and some of the memorable moments they shared  “I have so many moments and memories with Dolly, it’s hard to know where to start. Like every little boy, I grew up loving Dolly Parton. She was a part of our lives, on our TVs, right in our living rooms.”

Cyrus also reflected on growing up loving Parton and described the impact she had on his life.

Parton also had a close relationship with the Cyrus family. She became the godmother of Billy Ray Cyrus’ daughter, Miley Cyrus, in 1992.

As fans around the world mourn the death of country music legend Dolly Parton, her music continues to serve as part of her lasting legacy.

Nigerian businessman and political commentator Isaac Fayose has shared his concerns about the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general election.

Fayose criticised the party and expressed concern about the possibility of the APC retaining power in 2027.

He said “APC does not mean well for this country, we are in trouble if we allow them to have their way in 2027.”

Fayose also shared his thoughts on the upcoming election and the political direction he believes Nigeria should take.
