House of the Dragons S2: Update
After an almost two-year hiatus, Season 2 of HBO’s House of the Dragon is set to make its long-awaited return this June. African fans can catch the highly anticipated continuation of the hit series on Showmax. This new season promises a more gripping narrative, delving further into the core of the Dance of the Dragons conflict.
In contrast to the previous season, which established the groundwork for the impending clash, Season 2 is anticipated to start off with a bang. The creators have suggested that the storyline will progress more rapidly, centering on the intensifying tensions between the competing Targaryen factions.
The catalyst for this change in atmosphere stems from the tragic demise of Rhaenyra’s son, Lucerys, at the hands of Aemon, Alicent’s son. This pivotal event is poised to have profound repercussions as the Targaryen civil war intensifies to its climax. Expectations are high for a no-holds-barred confrontation, with both factions resorting to brutal acts of retribution.
Among the most eagerly awaited plot developments is the entrance of the notorious assassins, Blood and Cheese. Employed by the cunning Daemon Targaryen, these lethal agents are commissioned to avenge Lucerys’ untimely death. Their impending arrival fosters an air of unease and anticipation, leaving viewers on edge as they speculate about the target of their deadly assignment.
House of the Dragon Season 2 is set to deliver a captivating spectacle, featuring beloved characters alongside exciting newcomers. Expect drama, intrigue, and the majestic dragons synonymous with the series. Premiering on June 17, 2024, exclusively on Showmax and M-Net, the wait is nearly over. Grammy Award-winning singer Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, subtly criticized Davido’s marriage, suggesting it’s not a model to follow.
This came after a user urged Burna Boy to consider marrying, citing Davido as an example.
Burna Boy responded by preferring to stay as he is, questioning if the user was aware of Davido’s current challenges.
When teased about his response, Burna Boy questioned if Davido’s situation was a better example.
He also commented positively on Adekunle Gold’s marriage aspirations. Davido is currently embroiled in a custody battle with his ex-partner, Sophia Momodu, despite recently marrying Chioma in a lavish ceremony in Lagos.
Media personality Dele Momodu has commented on the child custody dispute between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and Davido.
According to him, David’s father offered a family apartment in Victoria Island, which Sophia declined, citing discomfort in living among David’s extended family due to her unmarried status.
Momodu emphasized that Sophia did not initiate the legal action and seeks only to ensure a structured, safe, and sustainable relationship between father and child.
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has revealed that he continues to avoid sexual temptations despite his spiritual calling.
Addressing the Ministers and Workers Conference of RCCG Americas 1, Adeboye emphasized the cautionary tale of Samson from the Bible, urging both men and women to be vigilant against lustful desires and to steer clear of situations that may lead to sin.
Pastor Adeboye says; “Somebody says, at your age, why are you still running? I run faster than before because the closer you get to the finishing point, the more careful you must be.
“Some of you can say, ‘Daddy, what are you saying, are you still running?’ I run fast.
“With all your anointing?’ Does anointing turn your body to stone? Samson was anointed. Single-handedly, he killed a thousand soldiers. A woman finished him. I hope the boys are listening.”
“You can say, ‘Is anybody still interested in an 82-year-old man?’ She is not interested in you but interested in putting an end to all the great works God has done through you.”
“You see that woman smiling at you everywhere you go, she is there smiling, and she is not your wife, run.”
