Lineker: Arsenal, City Set for Title Battle
BBC Sports host Gary Lineker believes the Premier League title race will once again be between Arsenal and Manchester City this season. Over the past two campaigns, City narrowly edged Arsenal to secure the trophy.
Currently, Pep Guardiola’s side leads the league, winning all four of their opening fixtures, while Arsenal trails by two points. Ahead of their showdown at the Etihad this Sunday, Lineker remarked, “It’s already looking like Arsenal v Manchester City for the title again.”
Although Liverpool showed early promise, a recent 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest has left them fourth in the table, three points behind City.

The win brings City closer than ever to Arsenal at the top of the table, raising questions about whether Arsenal can maintain their position.
It can be recalled that Arsenal recently suffered a loss to Bournemouth, which has added pressure in the title race.

It can be noted that the team was accused of taking towels belonging to opposition goalkeepers during matches, which sparked criticism from fans and observers, with many calling for consequences.
Hakimi expressed his disappointment over the situation, stating “I don’t feel proud about the image we gave off with the towels. Even though that happened, the team did well in the competition. We showed respect for our opponents in the tournament.”
Ademola Lookman has praised Atlético Madrid following their 2–0 victory over Barcelona.
It can be noted that the match ended 2–0, with goals scored by Julián Álvarez and Alexander Sørloth.
Speaking in a recent interview, Lookman commended the team’s performance and unity “It was a good result. The performance of the team, especially not to concede here, shows the work everyone’s been doing and the togetherness.”
