Police Capture 21 Armed Robbers and Cultists Behind Ekiti Killings

Four people, including a commercial motorcycle ticket agent, were recently killed by gunmen in different locations within Ado-Ekiti metropolis.

In response, the Ekiti State Police Command has arrested 21 suspects linked to these killings and other crimes in the state. According to DSP Sunday Abutu, the arrests were made following a thorough investigation. The suspects, allegedly involved in armed robbery and cultism, belong to various cult groups engaging in violent reprisals.

One suspect was identified as a member of the “Eiye Confraternity,” and others, including members of a notorious gang from Plateau, were also apprehended. Abutu assured that the suspects will be charged in court soon and urged residents to remain vigilant and support law enforcement efforts to combat crime.
