Darkoo Reveals Football Was Her First Love Before Music
Oluwafisayo Isa, known professionally as Darkoo, has shared an intriguing revelation about her career journey.
The British-Nigerian rapper and singer, famed for her hit song “Favourite Girl,” disclosed that her true passion was once football, not music.
In a recent podcast interview, Darkoo opened up about her unexpected transition from aspiring footballer to musician.
She recounted a pivotal moment when she fainted during a football match, which prompted her to reconsider her athletic ambitions.
“Music was never part of my original plan,” she explained.
“I always wanted to be a footballer. Many people don’t realize that I don’t play football anymore, but that last experience on the pitch made me rethink my path.
The intensity of the exercise was too much for me.”
This shift has led Darkoo to explore her talent in music, and she has since carved out a successful career in the industry.
Her journey highlights how unforeseen circumstances can lead to new opportunities and passions, ultimately shaping one’s destiny.

Instead, he said he is scared of poverty and has this fear because he has experienced it before. “I am not afraid of death. The only thing I am afraid of in this life is poverty, of being broke.
“I have tasted it [poverty] before. I have been in our house with my parents and siblings, and a bulldozer came and demolished it.”
Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, makes headlines for his gesture of goodwill. It can be noted that during the afternoon performance, the singer paused for one minute of silence to honor his colleague Wizkid’s mother.
The singer paused during his performance and said “Personally, I have lost many loved ones, people close to me, so I understand how Wizkid is feeling right now. May his mother, our mother because she was dear to me, rest in peace.”
This gesture touched many fans, as they were in awe of the singer showing a kind heart despite the usual rivalry between their fan bases.
