Diddy Removed from Suicide Watch After Arrest

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been taken off suicide watch two weeks after his arrest on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and kidnapping. As of September 29, 2024, the rapper, 54, is now allowed visits from family members following routine surveillance for high-profile inmates after his arrest on September 16.
During his court appearance, prosecutors accused Diddy of running a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, using drugs and violence to coerce women into fulfilling his sexual desires. His legal team had previously requested bail, offering his $48 million Miami mansion and his mother’s property as collateral. However, the court denied the bail, deeming him a flight risk, and also rejected a request for house arrest with restrictions on female visitors.
If convicted on all charges, Diddy could face a sentence ranging from 15 years to life in prison. His arrest followed federal raids in March 2024 on his properties in Los Angeles and Miami, where authorities discovered 1,000 bottles of lubricant and three AR-15 rifles. He will remain in custody until his trial.
