The fan, identified as Adeoti, posted the video online, explaining that the moment unfolded when he attempted to take a picture with Asake.
In his caption, Adeoti expressed disappointment but maintained his admiration for the artist, writing, “@asakemusic You broke my iPhone 16 Pro Max. It’s not cool to react like that to a fan just because of whatever happened inside the club. But regardless, I still love you.”
The video has since gone viral, igniting widespread criticism of Asake’s actions. Fans and social media users have taken to various platforms to express their frustration and anger.
Some condemned the artist for overreacting, while others warned fans to stop idolizing celebrities.

Similarly, @CHINONSOWISDO13 remarked, “If it was me, it wouldn’t end well; these celebs are too rude.”
Despite the backlash, Asake has yet to make any public statement addressing the incident.
The silence from his camp has only fueled further conversations online, with some fans questioning how he plans to handle the situation.
Asake’s aggressive response has sparked debates about the behaviour of celebrities and their treatment of fans.
Many are left wondering whether Asake will take responsibility and apologize or continue to ignore the growing criticism.
