Popular Singer Ariana Grande is addressing “disappointing” rumors about her relationship with boyfriend Ethan Slater. In a recent interview with *Vanity Fair*, published on September 30, the 31-year-old singer challenged the misleading narrative surrounding the 32-year-old Broadway star.
After reports suggested their romance began only following their separations, Slater’s ex-wife, Lilly Jay, criticized Grande, stating her family was “just collateral damage” and calling her “not a girl’s girl.” Slater and Jay, who married in 2018, finalized their divorce earlier this month and share a son born in August 2022.
Grande expressed her disappointment at how many people accepted the negative portrayal of Slater, stating, “The most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of it.” She defended him, saying, “There couldn’t be a less accurate depiction of a human being than the one that the tabloids spread about him,” emphasizing Slater’s generosity and commitment to those he loves. Their relationship was confirmed in July 2023, shortly after their splits from ex-husbands Dalton Gomez and Lilly Jay.
