Nollywood actress Funke Akindele and singer Mr. Eazi took to social media to celebrate Nigeria’s 64th independence anniversary on October 1st, sharing messages of hope amidst the country’s economic challenges.
In her Instagram post, Akindele expressed her optimism for Nigeria’s future, stating, “I pray that this country will be great. This is where I earn a living, where I am called ‘gbogbo bigs girl,’ and where I make money to support many people. I will not japa; I will remain in Nigeria, and Nigeria will get better.” She added, “Happy Independence Day to my beloved Nigeria! We have weathered storms, but our spirit remains unbroken.
