Mark Zuckerberg Overtakes Jeff Bezos as World’s Second Richest Person
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has surpassed Amazon’s Jeff Bezos to become the world’s second richest individual.
According to Bloomberg, Zuckerberg’s net worth reached $206 billion, boosted by Meta’s stock rising 23% after reporting strong second-quarter earnings and its focus on AI advancements.
Zuckerberg’s fortune has grown by $78 billion this year, largely due to Meta’s investments in data centers and projects like augmented reality glasses.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk remains the world’s richest person, with a net worth of $256 billion.
It has been reported that Bola Ahmed Tinubu was absent at the commissioning of the Opebi-Mende Link Bridge, which took place on April 8, 2026.
However, Senate President Godswill Akpabio represented the President and carried out the ceremony.
As he commissioned the project, he stated “On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I commission these projects.”
