Lawyer Deji Adeyanju has provided an update on the arrest of singer Speed Darlington.

According to a post on his X handle, Darlington was arrested in Lagos on Friday, October 4, and transported to Abuja, where he has remained in police custody.

The arrest reportedly stems from a petition filed by fellow musician Burna Boy.

The petition is believed to be related to a video Darlington shared in September, where he questioned Burna Boy’s sexuality and his relationship with singer Diddy.

Darlington suggested Burna Boy’s rise to fame in the U.S. and his Grammy nomination were linked to his closeness with Diddy, making controversial remarks about their relationship.
