Zamfara Government Threatens Demolition of Communities Sheltering Bandits
The Zamfara State Government has issued a warning to communities providing refuge to bandits, threatening to demolish such areas.
Deputy Governor Malam Mani Mummuni made the announcement during a visit to Tsafe Emirate, following the killing of nine members of the Community Protection Guards (CPG) by bandits along the Tsafe-Funtua road.
Mummuni accused the Maikwanugga community of aiding the attackers by offering them shelter.
He emphasized that the government would not tolerate acts of betrayal that hinder efforts to combat insecurity in the state.
