Controversial social media personality Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, claimed that the presidency contacted him about his newly launched Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). In an Instagram post, he stated that the NGO will focus on community development and improving public schools.

Otse asked influential figures like Davido and Cubana Chief Priest for support, promising transparency and accountability. He also announced that he raised over N33 million in donations within 24 hours, primarily from individuals giving small amounts, showing strong community support.

In a follow-up post, Otse revealed that he received a call from the presidency, praising his efforts. With a touch of sarcasm, he quipped that the government might soon seek his financial help, joking about their borrowing practices. He stated, “It’s crazy! They said they like what I’m doing for children. I guess they might want to borrow from me now!” He also expressed his goal to promote transparency in Nigerian NGOs, saying, “I’ll expose NGOs in this country; just wait and see.”
