Osimhen and Nwabali Slam Super Eagles’ Treatment at Libyan Airport

Nigerian football stars Victor Osimhen and Stanley Nwabali expressed their disappointment over the treatment of the Super Eagles at Al Abraq International Airport in Libya. Osimhen criticized the situation as “inhumane” and highlighted the unfair treatment his team received.
He called on the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to take action since his teammates and officials remained stranded at the airport.
Nwabali revealed that the Super Eagles had been stuck for over 14 hours without food, water, or internet access, calling the experience “absolutely crazy.” Victor Boniface also voiced his frustrations, stating they lacked essentials during their long wait. The Nigerian delegation was on its way to Benghazi for an important qualifier when their flight diverted to the small airport, typically used for Hajj operations. The Libyan Football Federation did not provide assistance, and CAF has yet to respond to the issue.

Amorim Says Man U Were Not Aggressive Enough in 1-0 Defeat to Chelsea

Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim has admitted his team lacked the needed edge in the final third during their 1-0 defeat to Chelsea on Friday night. Marc Cucurella’s first-half header, set up by Reece James, was the difference at Stamford Bridge, handing United their 18th loss of the season and leaving them sitting 16th in the league.
Speaking after the match, Amorim said his side started well but just didn’t show enough aggression where it mattered most. “We approached the game the right way,” he said. “We had some bad luck and lost focus at key moments. We tried to press and push forward but just couldn’t finish.” Despite the loss, Amorim insisted the team was competitive. Up next, they’ll face Tottenham in the Europa League final on Wednesday.
