Bimbo Akintola Explains Why She Never Dated Actors
Nollywood actress Bimbo Akintola recently shared why she chose not to date fellow actors. In an interview with 3PLE Nolly TV, she revealed that she sees actors as her brothers, which made it easy for her to avoid romantic relationships with them. “I never dated any actor during my career,” she said, adding that she has never felt attracted to them, despite some showing interest in her.
Her focus at work has always been on professionalism, making her view her colleagues as undateable. “Even though we have handsome actors, I never considered dating any of them,” Akintola explained.
Addressing controversies, Akintola mentioned that her early career was filled with false rumors. She recalled that people spread odd stories about her, including claims that she didn’t wear underwear. She noted that media outlets often create such stories to attract more attention and boost sales. Akintola highlighted that this practice continues today, with blogs and other media outlets still fabricating headlines for clicks and engagement.
With the release of The Love Hypothesis, Tom Bateman is once again getting plenty of attention for his role as Adam Carlsen.

“I dated someone who, when I met him, was a Christian, and then sometime later Ramadan started and he said he was fasting. I said why, and he said because that is what would make his mom happy. Being a Muslim is what would make his mom happy. There and then, I knew I couldn’t be with him.
“I have nothing against Muslims; I have Muslim friends who are amazing people, by the way. But for the kind of family that I want to raise, I would love to raise my children the Christian way. I want to be able to hold hands with my husband in one faith, in unity as a family.”

The actor shared “If someone can destroy a country in three years, with ease, another person can make it better. Where bad people are, that’s where the progressive people are also at.
