Falz: No Pressure to Study Law Despite Father’s Legacy
Nigerian rapper, Falz has clarified that he wasn’t pressured to study law despite his father’s renowned success in the field. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo on the *With Chude* podcast, Falz explained that his father, Femi Falana SAN, influenced him, but not through pressure. Growing up, he witnessed the positive impact his father had on people, which motivated him to follow a similar path.

Bovi Ugboma: Women Dominate Nigeria’s Entertainment Industry
Nigerian comedian Bovi Ugboma recently asserted that women hold significant power in the entertainment industry. Speaking on the TVC program *Your View*, he remarked that while women often voice concerns about inequality, they may not realize their substantial influence in an industry they largely dominate.
Ugboma noted, “Women should recognize that in areas where they seek equality, they have often already succeeded, but their ongoing fight makes them unaware of this victory.” He pointed out that historically, figures like Amaka Igwe paved the way, and today, successful producers and directors such as Funke Akindele and Mo Abudu continue to lead. He emphasized that notable names like Bolanle Austin-Peters and Kemi Adetiba have made significant contributions as well.
In response to complaints from young actresses about male producers exploiting their positions, Ugboma questioned who they confide in, stating, “Women are the ones running the industry.” He urged them to acknowledge the power they possess and the successes they’ve achieved within the entertainment landscape.
