Tragedy Strikes Ewehko: Daylight Bandit Attack Leaves Five Dead and Homes in Flames

In a sad turn of events, the peaceful Ewehko community, located within Maro Ward of Kajuru Local Government Area in Kaduna State, was violently disrupted by bandits.

 

This attack occurred on the afternoon of June 17, 2024, resulting in the tragic loss of five community members who were gathered for a meeting.

Benjamin Maro, a local, shared the harrowing details of the incident, stating that the bandits struck the village known as Unguwar Paul at 2 pm.

The aftermath was devastating, with four men and one woman found deceased. The community is currently conducting searches in the nearby areas for any additional victims.

Reuben Maro, another local, reported that the attackers didn’t stop at taking lives; they also set motorcycles ablaze and burned down several homes.

The community is in mourning and shock over this unexpected and brutal attack.

Residents of Lagos should prepare for traffic disruptions as several roads will be closed due to the visit of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is set to commission infrastructural projects.

The commissioning will take place on April 8 and 9, 2026.

Affected areas on Wednesday (April 8):
Opebi, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Ojota, and Victoria Island.

Affected areas on Thursday (April 9):
Lekki-Epe Expressway, Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Ajegunle.
