Nasty Blaq Defends Davido Against Growing Disrespect
Nigerian skit maker Nasty Blaq has voiced concern over the treatment of singer Davido, mentioning what he describes as a growing lack of respect for the artist across social media.
Blaq, known for his humorous skits and active online presence, expressed frustration about how Davido is often misunderstood, noting that people might be taking his kindness for granted.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Nasty Blaq didn’t hold back, stating that the disrespect Davido faces has become overwhelming.
He pointed out that Davido is simply trying to be helpful, showing support for people in different ways, yet it seems to result in backlash rather than appreciation.
This remark from Blaq follows a controversy involving Davido and popular content creator Korty EO, who recently took to social media to share her own frustrating experience with the artist’s team.
Korty revealed that she had recorded an interview with Davido, having secured permission from his team to post it afterward.
However, she claimed that Davido’s management later requested she re-edit the content before ultimately blocking her from sharing the video at all.
Korty didn’t hide her disappointment, stating that she had encountered similar issues with other artists who agreed to be interviewed but later refused to allow their footage to be posted.
She urged artists to think carefully before appearing on her show if they are uncomfortable being open with the public, adding that it wastes her time and disrupts her creative process.
