Netflix is once again buzzing with fresh releases and fan-favorite returns, and this week’s global Top Pick is packed with drama, thrillers, and stories that hit close to home. Let’s break down what’s got viewers hooked around the world right now.

1. Adolescence

Topping the chart is Adolescence, a British crime drama that’s both intense and innovative. The story follows 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who finds himself at the center of a dark school tragedy. What makes the series stand out isn’t just the subject matter but how it’s shot — every episode is done in one continuous take, making the whole experience feel more real and urgent. Since it dropped on March 13, it’s drawn in almost 97 million views in just three weeks, thanks to its raw storytelling and haunting realism.

2. You – Season 5

You is back for its final act, and it’s bringing Joe Goldberg full circle. He’s back in New York, trying to walk a straight path and live a quiet life — but if you know Joe, you know that’s not going to last. This last season, released on April 24, dives deep into his past while setting up a gripping finish. It’s been praised for tying up the story in a way that fans are calling dark, emotional, and oddly satisfying.

3. The Gardener

Mixing romance with crime, The Gardener brings a unique spin to the hitman genre. This Spanish series centers on a mother and son who run a gardening business — but secretly, they’re hired killers. Things get complicated when the son starts falling for one of their targets, blurring the line between duty and love. With strong performances and a suspenseful plot, this one’s quickly gaining a solid fanbase.

These shows are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what Netflix is offering right now, but they definitely reflect why viewers keep coming back. Whether it’s the gritty realism of Adolescence, the psychological tension in You, or the twisted love story in The Gardener, there’s something for everyone in the mix this week.
