RCCG Suspends Two Pastors Amid Allegations of Homosexuality
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has suspended two pastors following allegations of homosexuality that circulated on social media. In a memo dated October 28, 2024, signed by the church’s National Overseer, Sunday Akande, the RCCG announced an investigation into the accusations.
Addressed to the Special Assistant to the General Overseer of Administration, the memo emphasized that the church does not condone homosexuality, grounding this stance in biblical teachings. Citing verses like Leviticus 18:22 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Akande reiterated RCCG’s adherence to doctrines that reject homosexuality.
As part of the investigation process, the accused pastors have been temporarily removed from their roles within the church. The memo outlined that the investigation should be thorough, confidential, and completed within two weeks.
The RCCG has emphasized handling the matter with care, integrity, and respect for all involved parties.

Isaac Fayose Criticizes Government Over Taxation and Insecurity
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has spoken about what he considers one of the country’s biggest problems, stating that many Nigerians are worried about government taxation, insecurity, and the increasing rate of kidnappings for ransom.
He lamented the situation and criticized the government, arguing that these issues have become deeply rooted and that there appears to be no lasting solution in sight.
According to him “In Nigeria we have two governments. One is collecting tax, the other one is collecting ransom. Both of them have one thing in common which is to make life difficult for their people.
The one that is collecting tax without doing anything will come and share you rice and semolina. The one that is collecting ransom is doing giveaway on social media.”
