Governor Nwifuru Empowers 200 Ebonyi Youths in Modern Farming
Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, on his recent visit to CSS Global Integrated Farms in Gora, Nasarawa State, celebrated the success of 200 young Ebonyians who completed an intensive agricultural training program aimed at transforming Ebonyi’s agricultural landscape.
In a post shared on his X handle, he acknowledged the young trainees’ dedication and efforts, emphasizing how this initiative is part of his administration’s broader mission to enhance food security and empower the youth of Ebonyi State.
The 200 trainees participated in a hands-on program designed to teach them various forms of agriculture, from food production and processing to specialized areas like poultry and fish farming.
The training also covered critical areas in the agricultural value chain, equipping them with both operational and management skills to start their ventures.
Nwifuru’s administration views this training as a significant step toward economic development, as these new skills allow young people to become self-reliant while contributing to the state’s food production goals.
Nwifuru expressed gratitude to Prof. John Kennedy Opara, Chairman of CSS Global Integrated Farms, and his management team for providing top-tier training.
Under Opara’s leadership, CSS Farms has become a recognizedcentrer for agricultural innovation and education, helping transform traditional farming practices in Nigeria.
Through this partnership, Nwifuru’s government aims to strengthen Ebonyi’s agricultural output and make farming a viable and rewarding option for the youth.
The governor also shared plans to support these young graduates as they put their skills into practice.
He committed to empowering them with resources and guidance to establish thein farms, a step he believes will boost local food production and open job opportunities for others.
Nwifuru assured that the state government will closely monitor their progress, ensuring they receive the necessary support while encouraging them to pass on their skills and knowledge to others back home.
Nwifuru’s vision is not just about developing individual farmers but creating a ripple effect that will benefit the entire state.
The governor’s visit ended on a high note, with him extending his congratulations to the trainees and his gratitude to the CSS Farms team.

IPOB Disowns Simon Ekpa Due to His Arrest And Calls for Focus on Biafra Struggle
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) have urged their members to stay focused on their mission to achieve an independent Biafran state and remain calm amidst the arrest of Simon Ekpa, who describes himself as the Prime Minister of Biafra in Exile.
In a strong condemnation of Ekpa’s actions, IPOB emphasized that every crime has its consequences.
Emma Powerful, the group’s spokesperson, clarified that Simon Ekpa is not, and has never been, a member of IPOB. He accused Ekpa of using violence to destabilize the South-East region since 2021.
In a detailed statement, Powerful said, “Simon Ekpa has no affiliation with the global IPOB family or its leadership.
Despite false narratives claiming otherwise, he has never been registered as a member in Finland or any other part of the world.”
Powerful reiterated that IPOB, under the leadership of Nnamdi Kanu, has consistently pursued a peaceful path toward achieving Biafra’s independence.
“Mazi Nnamdi Kanu founded IPOB as a non-violent movement dedicated to self-determination through a United Nations-supervised referendum.
Despite repeated provocations and violent crackdowns by the Nigerian government, we have remained steadfast in our peaceful approach for over two decades,” he explained.
Ekpa, however, has been accused of exploiting the Biafran cause for personal gain.
“Many innocent Biafrans, driven by their passion for the Biafran struggle, initially believed in Simon Ekpa’s rhetoric.
Unfortunately, they later realized he was a destructive force, funded to undermine IPOB’s efforts.
He has recruited violent criminals under the guise of fighting for Biafra and formed the so-called Biafra Liberation Army, which has carried out atrocities in the Eastern region,” Powerful added.
Ekpa, who leads the self-proclaimed Biafra Government in Exile (BGIE), has been linked to violent activities that have harmed civilians.
Powerful accused both the Nigerian and Finnish governments of protecting Ekpa from accountability for his alleged crimes. Despite this, IPOB expressed confidence that justice would prevail.
The statement ended with a call for unity and focus: “We urge all IPOB members, Biafrans, and supporters of our cause to remain calm.
Our objective remains the same—to restore Biafra’s sovereignty through peaceful means.
No amount of sabotage can deter us from this goal.”
