Stanley Ontop Calls Out Naira Marley Over Lil Smart’s Mysterious Arrest
Popular movie producer Stanley Ontop has called out singer Naira Marley over the mysterious disappearance of dancer Lil Smart. This comes just weeks after Lil Smart publicly claimed his life was in danger.
Back in December 2024, the dancer had taken to social media, urging the public to hold Naira Marley and Zinoleesky responsible if anything happened to him.
However, things have now taken a more troubling turn. On Friday, Stanley Ontop raised alarm on Instagram, alleging that Lil Smart was secretly arrested over five days ago in Lagos.
“@lilsmart has been arrested by unknown persons in Lagos. Why are they stressing this boy for no reason? He’s been held for five days, and no one knows where he is,” Stanley wrote.
Directly addressing Naira Marley and Zinoleesky, he added, “@nairamarleyworld and @zinoleesky, what’s going on? Let it not be what I’m thinking. Why are you oppressing this young boy? Free Lil Smart.”

Tems Set to Make History with Possible Double Grammy Win
Nigerian singer-songwriter Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, is on the cusp of making history at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, scheduled for February 2, 2025, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena. With three nominations, she stands to become the first African artist to win multiple Grammys in a single night.
Tems’ nominations include Best African Music Performance for “Love Me, Jeje,” Best Global Music Album for her debut studio album “Born in the Wild,” and Best R&B Song for “Burning.” “Love Me Jeje” is a contemporary rendition of Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 classic, showcasing Tems’ ability to blend traditional African sounds with modern R&B.
Billboard predicts that Tems will secure victories in both the Best African Music Performance and Best Global Music Album categories. In the former, she faces competition from fellow Nigerian artists Yemi Alade (“Tomorrow”), Asake & Wizkid (“MMS”), Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay (“Sensational”), and Burna Boy (“Higher”).
Notably, “Sensational” by Chris Brown, featuring Davido and Lojay, has been highlighted as a “Look Out For” track by Billboard, while Burna Boy’s “Higher” is also considered a strong contender.
In the Best Global Music Album category, Tems’ “Born in the Wild” is up against “Alkebulan II” by Matt B featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, “Paisajes” by Ciro Hurtado, “Heis” by Rema, and “Historias De Un Flamenco” by Antonio Rey.
It’s noteworthy that Tems is the only previous Grammy winner among this year’s nominees in this category, having previously won for her collaboration on “Wait for U” with Future and Drake.
