DJ Cuppy starts the celebration of her birthday with a heartfelt message on her X account, revealing that Halima Dangote made it a priority to be the first to wish her a happy birthday.
Describing Halima as her “Yaya”, a term meaning “older sister” in Hausa, Cuppy expressed her deep love and gratitude with a simple “Nagode” (thank you in Hausa).
Halima, daughter of billionaire Aliko Dangote and a respected executive, has a close bond with Cuppy, both through family ties and mutual respect.
DJ Cuppy, popularly known for her bright personality and openness, often shares her life’s special moments online.
Ahead of her birthday, DJ Cuppy shared a reflection, revealing that, for the first time, she’s not wishing for anything material.
“All I truly want is continued peace in my life”, she expressed, adding that she’s deeply thankful for the contentment and joy she feels.
In her message, Cuppy emphasized her gratitude, sharing that she’s reached a place in life she once couldn’t imagine.

“We were living in a one-bedroom flat with me, my mom, my father, like the whole family. Six boys and two girls live in a one-bedroom apartment.”
