Shallipopi Declares Olamide the King of Nigerian Street Music

Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, famously known as Shallipopi, has given high praise to renowned rapper Olamide, describing him as the true king of Nigerian street music.

In a recent interview with Naija FM, Shallipopi shared that he chose to feature Olamide, also known as Baddo, in his hit track Order because of Olamide’s strong influence and deep connection with street culture in Nigeria.

“Olamide is not just a rapper; he’s a symbol of street music in Nigeria,” Shallipopi expressed passionately.

“I featured him on Order because it’s a song that speaks to the streets, and no one embodies that spirit more than Baddo.

He’s like the father of street music here.”

In the same interview, Shallipopi confirmed that he has officially parted ways with Dapper Music, the record label he was signed to.

He clarified that his exit was amicable, following the expiration of his contract.

Dismissing rumors of a feud with the label, Shallipopi emphasized that there is no bad blood between him and Dapper Music, describing their current relationship as friendly and supportive.

Nigerian singer BNXN has made a claim online that has generated mixed reactions. The singer stated that living in Lagos is more expensive than living in Los Angeles, drawing from his personal experience in the United States.

Speaking about life abroad, BNXN explained that there are fewer financial obligations and requests for money compared to Nigeria, where people are often expected to support relatives and acquaintances.

“I was telling someone, since I got to the United States, I haven’t seen one egbon adugbo asking me to press money. Lagos is too expensive abeg. Lagos is more expensive than LA (Los Angeles),” BNXN stated.

The case is reportedly linked to claims that the influencer obtained ₦13 million through an alleged cancer-related fundraising scheme.

It can also be recalled that Blessing CEO previously claimed she was battling Stage 4 breast cancer, a revelation that drew sympathy from many people and reportedly led to financial support from members of the public.

While investigations are still ongoing, the influencer remains innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
