Tiwa Savage Reveals She Returned a Range Rover Gift After Rejecting the Sender
Nigerian music star Tiwa Savage recently opened up about the most extravagant gift she has ever received—a Range Rover—which she surprisingly chose to return.
Speaking during an interview with The Beat 99.9 FM in Lagos, the singer shared the story behind her decision and revealed more about her personal boundaries and celebrity connections.
According to Tiwa, the luxury car was gifted to her by a man on her birthday.
While the gesture was grand, she declined to keep the vehicle because she had no romantic interest in the man.
She explained that holding onto the gift could have created an awkward situation, especially since she wasn’t reciprocating his feelings.
“I was given a Range Rover as a birthday gift, but I returned it because I wasn’t feeling the guy,” Tiwa revealed.
“I also didn’t want to keep it because I knew he might decide to take it back if I kept ignoring his calls.
It’s always better to avoid those kinds of complications.”
During the same interview, Tiwa also gave fans a glimpse into her impressive network of connections, disclosing that rap superstar Nicki Minaj is the most famous person in her contact list.
Tiwa Savage, often regarded as the Queen of Afrobeats, has made a significant mark in the music industry, blending traditional African sounds with modern pop and R&B.
Her career has earned her numerous accolades and collaborations with international stars.
