“What Influences Me to Do Music Is Hardship.” – Shallipopi
Nigerian singer Crown Uzama, who is better known by his stage name Shallipopi, recently revealed that although he is often seen with cigarettes in his photos and videos, he does not actually smoke.
He explained that his use of cigarettes is purely for aesthetic purposes and not for consumption.
In a candid interview with Soundcity, Shallipopi shared that many of his fans may not know this fact about him.
He emphasized that smoking is not part of his lifestyle, but rather a choice for visual appeal.
“One thing that my fans don’t know about me is that I don’t smoke.
It’s just aesthetics,” Shallipopi said, shedding light on the reality behind his image.
When asked about what motivates his music career, Shallipopi pointed to the struggles and challenges of life in Nigeria as his primary inspiration.
He expressed that the hardships faced by many in the country drive him to pursue music as a means of escape and expression.
“What influences me to do music is hardship. You don’t want to go through hardship in this country,” he confessed.
Shallipopi, known for his hit single ‘Oba Pluto,’ has been making headlines in the Nigerian music scene with his unique blend of Afrobeat and street cultural vibes.
