President Bola Tinubu has promised not to rest until Nigerians experience the positive effects of his economic policies.

This assurance comes after the National Bureau of Statistics reported a 3.46% growth in Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the third quarter of 2024, an improvement from the 3.19% recorded in the second quarter.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications, Sunday Dare, Tinubu expressed optimism about the economic progress. He said, “I am excited by the latest report from the National Bureau of Statistics showing our economy grew more than projected.

While this is encouraging, it highlights the work ahead. We won’t rest until Nigerians feel the benefits in their daily lives and enjoy a better standard of living.”

Tinubu credited the growth to his administration’s economic reforms and better fiscal management. He emphasized that the upcoming rebasing of the economy in early 2025 will reflect significant changes in various sectors, paving the way for shared prosperity.

The President also highlighted proposed tax reforms aimed at reducing the burden on small businesses and promoting fairness across the country. These reforms will address the “headquarters effect,” ensuring that tax benefits are more evenly distributed among states.

Tinubu reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the welfare of Nigerians and creating an equitable economy.
