Nigerian Singer, Speed Darlington Arrested In Owerri After His Show

Nigerian Singer, Speed Darlington arrested in Owerri, Imo State after his performance. Darlington’s Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju takes to his social media page on X and reveals the singer was arrested.
“Our client, Speed Darlington, a.k.a AKPI, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police in Owerri at his show upon return to Nigeria.” The reason for the arrest has not yet been disclosed, although this is not the first time the singer has been arrested. Darlington was once arrested for cyberstalking Burna boy and was arrested on bail.
Darlington also recently made headlines by spreading a rumor claiming another Nigerian Singer, Davido is looking for another wife.

Many call out the singer as disrespectful towards someone else’s wife and reacts to the singer’s comment.

Popular Nigerian Artist, Rema has been recognized as the most streamed Nigerian Artist on YouTube for the first quarter of 2025.
Rema gathered a total of 223 millions streams, assisted because of his single “Is It Crime”, which was a total 14 million streams.
While the second most streamed Nigerian Artist is Burna Boy with a total of 171 million streams in the first quarter of 2025.
Third on the list for the most streamed Nigerian on YouTube is Ayra Starr, who has a total of 169 million streams.
