Osimhen Promises to Bring UEFA Europa League Trophy to Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen has vowed to lead Galatasaray to victory in the UEFA Europa League after showcasing an impressive performance in their recent 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish club on a high-profile transfer, has been in stellar form, netting three goals in his last two appearances in the competition.
Osimhen delivered a brilliant goal in the match against the Dutch side, further cementing his role as a key player for Okan Buruk’s team.
After the game, the Super Eagles forward expressed his confidence and determination to achieve European glory with Galatasaray.
“I said I would score a goal, and I did. Now, I make another promise: I will bring the UEFA Cup to Turkey,” he boldly declared, signaling his ambition to lead the team to historic success.
Reflecting on the match, Osimhen acknowledged the challenges the team faced, particularly with mental fatigue from their demanding schedule.
“It feels good to score a goal, but we could only leave with one point.
We’ll keep pushing forward,” he said. He also praised the team’s resilience and unbeaten record in Europe, adding, “Our performance was strong.
Although we may be mentally tired from playing just four days ago, we remain undefeated in this competition.”
Galatasaray’s head coach, Okan Buruk, has also hailed Osimhen’s contributions since joining the squad, describing him as a game-changer with the ability to inspire the team in critical moments.
PSG player Achraf Hakimi is set to attend trial as he faces allegations of rape. It can be noted that a woman reported in 2023 that she was raped by the player.
While the player has denied the allegations, he will face court proceedings for the case to be resolved.
The player showed readiness for the trial and stated that he would like to defend himself against the allegations.
“I have been waiting for this trial since day one. At last, I’ll be able to speak.”
Manchester United are eyeing player Victor Osimhen as they add him to the list of players who could strengthen their lineup for next season.
It can be noted that Osimhen will likely face competition from Benjamin Šeško, who has also been linked with the club. He has built a strong reputation with the team.
Osimhen has an excellent reputation and scored 22 goals for the Turkish club, which has impressed the club and kept him on their radar.
Portugal’s team coach, Roberto Martinez, spoke about the recent match and shared his thoughts. He also addressed the fact that he did not substitute Cristiano Ronaldo.
The coach praised the player, stating that he believes there was no reason to take the star off the field.
“It made no sense at all to take off Cristiano Ronaldo, who is the best goalscorer in history, off the field when we were looking for goals.”
