Osimhen Promises to Bring UEFA Europa League Trophy to Galatasaray
Victor Osimhen has vowed to lead Galatasaray to victory in the UEFA Europa League after showcasing an impressive performance in their recent 1-1 draw against AZ Alkmaar.
The Nigerian striker, who joined the Turkish club on a high-profile transfer, has been in stellar form, netting three goals in his last two appearances in the competition.
Osimhen delivered a brilliant goal in the match against the Dutch side, further cementing his role as a key player for Okan Buruk’s team.
After the game, the Super Eagles forward expressed his confidence and determination to achieve European glory with Galatasaray.
“I said I would score a goal, and I did. Now, I make another promise: I will bring the UEFA Cup to Turkey,” he boldly declared, signaling his ambition to lead the team to historic success.
Reflecting on the match, Osimhen acknowledged the challenges the team faced, particularly with mental fatigue from their demanding schedule.
“It feels good to score a goal, but we could only leave with one point.
We’ll keep pushing forward,” he said. He also praised the team’s resilience and unbeaten record in Europe, adding, “Our performance was strong.
Although we may be mentally tired from playing just four days ago, we remain undefeated in this competition.”
Galatasaray’s head coach, Okan Buruk, has also hailed Osimhen’s contributions since joining the squad, describing him as a game-changer with the ability to inspire the team in critical moments.
