Super Eagles Coach Invites 30 Home-Based Players for CHAN Qualification

Super Eagles Head Coach Augustine Eguavoen has invited 30 home-based players to camp as Nigeria steps up preparations for the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers. The tournament, reserved for players in domestic leagues, will take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania in February 2025.
Kano Pillars veteran midfielder Rabiu Ali, who has scored eight goals this season, leads the list of invitees. Other key players include Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, Rivers United defender Steven Mayo, and Abia Warriors forward Sunday Megwo.
The players are expected to report to camp at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ogun State on Wednesday, December
4. The team will prepare for their first-leg match against Ghana’s Black Stars B, scheduled for December 22 at the Accra Sports Stadium. The second leg will follow on December 28 at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo.
