West Brom Refuses to Let Star Striker Josh Maja Leave Despite Transfer Interest
West Bromwich Albion is set to keep hold of their key striker, Josh Maja, despite mounting interest from clubs both within and outside of England ahead of the January transfer window.
According to club insider Callum Burgess, the Baggies have no intention of parting ways with the 25-year-old, who has been instrumental in their attack this season.
Maja, who joined West Brom earlier, has been in sensational form, scoring 10 goals in the Sky Bet Championship.
His remarkable performances have made him the current leading scorer in the competition.
His contribution has been critical for the team, and his ability to find the back of the net has made him a fan favorite.
While the Nigerian forward has caught the attention of several clubs, Burgess made it clear that West Brom will not entertain any offers for Maja.
The striker has become an essential part of the squad, and his importance to the team’s success is undeniable.
Burgess also shared that the prospect of Maja’s departure would come as a shock to many West Brom supporters.
He emphasized that Maja’s value to the team goes beyond just his goals, with his presence and influence on the pitch making him a cornerstone of the Baggies’ forward line.

“Last year, for me, Cubarsí was the best young player in the world. Either the Kopa award or the Ballon d’Or should go to him. There’s no difference between us.
“When I won it, I told him that he would be next. If he doesn’t win it for whatever reason, I will give it to him.”

“I was close to Liverpool. My mum was a big fan of Jurgen Klopp, and the favourite destination for my mum was Liverpool. She wanted me to go there,” Mbappé told The Athletic.
“I didn’t listen because I wanted to play in my city, Paris. I didn’t want to leave my country before I was someone. But yes, my mum was always saying, ‘Liverpool — you’re going to be there, playing at Anfield, it’s going to be insane for you.’ I was like, ‘OK!’
“All the time we were talking. ‘What do you think, Mum?’ She’d say, ‘For me, you have to go to Liverpool.’ I said, ‘OK, OK, OK!’ because Jurgen Klopp was an amazing manager. I met him and had a wonderful relationship with him. I had big respect for him.”
