“We Are Not Exiting Nigeria” – Netflix Addresses Rumors On Leaving Nigeria
Netflix has addressed rumors about its alleged exit from Nigeria, putting to rest the growing speculations surrounding its operations in the country.
Recently, reports suggested that the global streaming giant might be leaving the Nigerian market due to economic challenges and increasing regulatory pressures.
However, Netflix has firmly denied these claims, affirming its commitment to the Nigerian market.
In a statement shared with TechCabal, the company clarified that it has no plans to leave the country and remains dedicated to investing in local content.
“We are not exiting Nigeria,” Netflix stated. “We will continue to invest in the country’s stories to delight our members.”
Over the years, Netflix has played a significant role in promoting Nigerian stories to a global audience, showcasing the rich culture and talent of the country’s entertainment industry.
Productions like King of Boys: The Return of the King and Blood Sisters have received critical acclaim, demonstrating the company’s commitment to bringing unique Nigerian narratives to life.
Nigerian actor Tobi Makinde has reacted to rumours circulating about his relationship with Funke Akindele.
It can be noted that reports claimed the two were no longer on speaking terms and had grown apart.
However, the actor has dismissed the rumours, stating that nothing has changed between them and that social media is making assumptions.
“Nothing really happened between me and Madam Funke, and I am not aware of any fallout. Social media likes constructing their own script, and when they are done, they start looking for people to fill in the character they want.”
Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has shared her views on faith and religion. She explained that her relationship with God is personal and not solely based on church attendance, but something she works on daily.
“I can only try to be as perfect as Jesus is. I am not there yet, but I’m trying my best. I have a very close relationship with God and the Holy Spirit, and it doesn’t come with me only being in church.”
She added “Everything that comes with religion can feel limiting. I have found a way that works for me, and I am fine with it for now.”
Popular rapper Cardi B has issued a strong warning to individuals who stole and used her credit card.
It can be noted that the rapper had earlier expressed her frustration on social media after discovering her card was stolen and used before it could be frozen.
She later revealed that the stores where the transactions occurred captured clear images of the suspects, and she intends to pursue justice.
“I got clear pictures of you all in Saks and in Apple. One thing about me is that I don’t play with my money. You all are going to jail,”.
