“To Win The Premier League, We Need To Run Like Mad Dogs” – Ruben Amorim To Man Utd Players
New Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has sent a clear and intense message to his squad: they must push themselves to the limit if they want any chance of competing for the Premier League title.
Amorim, who took over from Erik ten Hag during the November international break, believes that effort and commitment are non-negotiable for success.
Since stepping into the role, the 39-year-old Portuguese coach has managed only one victory, a commanding 4-0 win over Everton at Old Trafford.
Despite the underwhelming results so far, Amorim is focused on reshaping the team’s mindset and work ethic before fully implementing his tactical vision.
Speaking passionately about his expectations, Amorim emphasized the importance of relentless effort on the pitch.
“We need to sprint back, sprint forward, and fight for every ball. This has to be the foundation,” he explained.
“If the players aren’t ready to give everything, the tactics won’t matter.”
Amorim’s comments highlight his no-nonsense approach. He made it clear that even the most talented players cannot rely solely on skill.
“It doesn’t matter if you have the best starting XI in the world; if you don’t run, you won’t win anything,” he stated.
“To win the Premier League, we need to run like mad dogs. If we’re not willing to do that, we’re not going to succeed.”
Lagos State Police react to claims of them taking money from dispatch riders on the Coastal Road in Lagos.
It started after a rumour was shared that police arrest and take money from riders as a demand for high bribes, sometimes reaching ₦200,000, and seize motorcycles if not given.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, then addressed the claims online and stated in his statement that he disagreed that the rumour is true and stated, “The spread of misinformation only causes more harm than good. In this era, we can and must do better.”
It has been announced by the governor of Ogun that Tuesday 3rd of February is a public holiday in order to mark the 50th anniversary of the state creation.
This public holiday declaration was released in a statement by the secretary of the state, Tokunbo Talabi.
He then added that the holiday will provide as a day for the citizens to participate in the activities for the state milestone.

However, many state that what he posted and what he is saying contradict each other, and they accused him of sharing his own records to know if he was a corrupt leader.
