Three Chelsea players are reportedly planning to leave the club in the upcoming January transfer window, according to trusted football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Sharing the update on X (formerly Twitter), Romano named Carney Chukwuemeka, Ben Chilwell, and Cesare Casadei as players considering moves away from Stamford Bridge due to limited playing opportunities under manager Enzo Maresca.

The lack of consistent playing time has been a major frustration for these players. Carney Chukwuemeka, a highly-rated young midfielder, joined Chelsea from Aston Villa with great promise but has struggled to cement a regular spot in the team.

Similarly, Ben Chilwell, a former Leicester City star and England international, has faced challenges staying fit and competing for minutes in a squad stacked with defensive talent.

Cesare Casadei, an exciting Italian prospect, has found himself on the fringes and is yet to make a significant impact at the club.

Romano hinted that a move to Serie A is the most likely option for Casadei, with several Italian clubs already expressing interest in signing the talented youngster.

Casadei, who joined Chelsea from Inter Milan in 2022, may find a return to Italy a more fitting environment to develop his game and get regular minutes on the pitch.
