Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Cut Costs by Switching Off Lights and Managing Energy Use
President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to adopt better management practices by being mindful of their energy consumption, particularly through actions like switching off lights when not in use.
During a recent media chat with journalists in Lagos, the president emphasized that such habits could help reduce electricity bills, which have become a growing concern for many Nigerians.
Tinubu pointed out that learning to manage resources effectively is not a negative approach, suggesting that individuals could control their electricity costs by simply switching off lights when not needed.
He called for a collective effort to adopt more sustainable practices, stressing that everyone could play a part in managing resources wisely to avoid unnecessary expenses.
In the same conversation, Tinubu also shared his stance on price controls, stating that he does not believe in implementing them.
He explained that rather than resorting to price control measures, his administration would focus on working hard to ensure the market is adequately supplied to meet demand, thereby helping to stabilize prices in the long run.

Isaac Fayose Criticizes Government Over Taxation and Insecurity
Nigerian businessman Isaac Fayose has spoken about what he considers one of the country’s biggest problems, stating that many Nigerians are worried about government taxation, insecurity, and the increasing rate of kidnappings for ransom.
He lamented the situation and criticized the government, arguing that these issues have become deeply rooted and that there appears to be no lasting solution in sight.
According to him “In Nigeria we have two governments. One is collecting tax, the other one is collecting ransom. Both of them have one thing in common which is to make life difficult for their people.
The one that is collecting tax without doing anything will come and share you rice and semolina. The one that is collecting ransom is doing giveaway on social media.”
