Peter Obi Extends Heartfelt Condolences to Jigawa Governor Over Tragic Losses

Peter Obi, on behalf of his family and the Obidient movement, has extended heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi, following the tragic deaths of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi, and his son, Abdulwahab.

In a post shared on his X handle, Obi expressed deep sorrow, acknowledging the overwhelming pain the Governor and his family are facing.

He mentioned learning of the death of the Governor’s mother earlier and was preparing to offer condolences when he received the devastating news of his son’s death in a motor accident.

Obi emphasized that the death of a loved one is always difficult, but the Governor’s loss is especially poignant.

He joined in prayers for Governor Namadi and his family, asking that the Almighty grant them strength and fortitude to bear the sorrow and accept the losses as part of God’s will.

He prayed for the forgiveness of the deceased, asking that Almighty Allah grant them Aljanna Firdausi, a place in paradise.

Obi also prayed for continued protection and blessings for the Namadi family.

It was reported that bandits were seen in Kwara State and abducted six residents from Rukpete Village.

The incident was reported to have occurred on June 8 at about 11 p.m.

Sources revealed that seven people were initially taken, but an elderly man was later released, leaving six victims in captivity.
