Michael Owen Criticizes Man United’s Poor Performance After 2-0 Loss to Wolves
Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has criticized his former team after their disappointing 2-0 defeat to Wolves on Boxing Day at Molineux.
Owen was particularly harsh about United’s attacking performance, describing their display as “absolutely awful.”
He noted the lack of fluidity in their play and the absence of creativity in the final third.
The former England international pointed out that the team is struggling to function under manager Ruben Amorim.
“When you look at Manchester United against Wolves, it’s hard to see any sort of coordination,” Owen said on Premier League Productions.
“They’ve got three players marking one at the back, which is something you’d never see from a team like Liverpool.
They go man for man, and if there’s space, they use it to attack.”
Owen went on to emphasize that even if the team wasn’t conceding goals, it would still be a worrying situation, as the overall play just isn’t coming together.
“They’re terrible going forward, and I can’t recall a single meaningful chance they created against Wolves,” he added.
The defeat left Manchester United languishing in 14th place in the Premier League, further adding to the pressure on Amorim’s managerial reign.

“I Wish The Best For Manchester United Because This Is A Club I Still Love” Ronaldo
Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al Nassr, has expressed confidence that things will improve for Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim despite the club’s struggles this season.
The five-time Ballon d’Or winner, speaking at the Globe Soccer Awards, assured fans that the tough times at United are temporary, saying, “I knew it would be tough and they would continue the storm, but the storm will finish and the sun will rise.”
United’s season has been far from smooth, with the team currently languishing in 14th place in the Premier League following their 2-0 loss to Wolves on Boxing Day.
Despite the club’s ongoing challenges, Ronaldo remains optimistic about Amorim’s ability to turn things around.
“I hope things will be good with him,” Ronaldo said. “I wish the best for Manchester United because this is a club I still love.”

“President of a club? No. But maybe an owner. It depends on the moment and the opportunities.”
When asked if he had a specific club in mind, Ronaldo responded with a thoughtful, “Not yet, but maybe a few.”

“The Super Eagles Are Strong, but We’re Ready to Win” – Ghana Coach Didi Dramani
Black Galaxies head coach, Didi Dramani, remains confident that his team can secure a win against their long-time rivals, Nigeria, to claim a spot in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
After a goalless draw in the first leg held in Accra last weekend, both teams are set to face off in the decisive return leg at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo today.
Speaking during a press conference in Uyo, Dramani showed that he believed in his team’s ability to finish the job.
“We had more chances in Accra but were just unlucky not to score. It’s in the past now,” Dramani stated.
“Today is another opportunity to get the goals and seal our qualification for CHAN.”
He acknowledged the strength of the Nigerian team, noting that matches between the two countries are always intense.
“Nigeria has a strong side, and it’s never easy when we meet.
But we are ready to step up our game,” he added.
“We’ll play with an attacking mindset and aim to return to Ghana with a win.”
