Renowned Nigerian actress Chioma Akpotha has addressed the widespread rumors claiming she recently welcomed a baby boy.

The speculation gained traction after a post circulated on social media, congratulating the actress on her supposed new addition.

In her sarcastic message, Oboli joked about spending hours discussing baby-related topics with Chioma, including plans for naming ceremonies and breastfeeding advice.

Chioma, however, wasted no time setting the record straight.

Responding to Oboli’s playful comment, she debunked the story entirely.

She humorously clarified that the only “baby” in her life right now is her creative project.

“The only new babies I have are on YouTube,” she said, referring to her growing channel, which she fondly called her “set of twins.”

Nigerian rapper Ruggedman steps out to criticize the term Afrobeats and states how many artists hide under that category.

In a recent interview, he shares his thoughts stating that people who are even with no talent hide under the name Afrobeats and it gets accepted because of that.

“I don’t like Afrobeats as an umbrella genre from every music coming out of Africa. That was a mistake. I didn’t liked it from the beginning but when I complained people accused me of being jealous or trying to gatekeep,” he said.

“It is the people in the UK who started this thing of tagging every African music Afrobeats. Nigerians love classicism. They just wanted to give it a name,” he said.
