Ronaldo Becomes Highest-Paid Player As He Extends Contract with Al Nassr
Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly reached an agreement to extend his contract with Al Nassr, solidifying his position as the highest-paid player in football history.
The new deal, which is said to be worth £173 million per year, will keep the five-time Ballon d’Or winner with the Saudi Arabian club for the foreseeable future.
Ronaldo’s current contract, which was set to expire in the summer, had brought rumors about his future, with clubs like Al-Hilal, where Brazilian star Neymar Jr. currently plays, showing interest.
Despite these links, Ronaldo seems determined to continue his journey with Al Nassr, while showing a desire to stay competitive in the Saudi Pro League.
In fact, reports suggest Ronaldo is not just staying with Al Nassr, but he wants the club to strengthen its squad for next season, ensuring they can compete with top-tier clubs in the region and beyond.
Former Liverpool player, Jamie Carragher, speaks on Arsenal’s next match and claims that their game against Aston Villa will be challenging and described it as a test for the team to see how well they perform.
“Arsenal have looked the best team in the league by a long way so far this season, but Man City are still only five points behind.
There’s a long way to go and Arsenal will need to keep their heads! It could be tested tomorrow against Aston Villa!!”
Former Manchester United player, Jesse Lingard, has revealed that he has mutually agreed to leave FC Seoul and his contract will end. It is reported that he will leave next week.
It can be noted that the footballer joined in February 2024 and has made 66 appearances since then, scoring 18 goals.
The player shared his experience on social media, saying “My time in South Korea has been unbelievable — the football, the atmosphere, and the passion around this club have been top class.”

Former footballer, Rio Ferdinand compares Arsenal star player, Bukayo Saka, to Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah.
When comparing players, he shared that: “When Saka is on it, he looks unplayable,” however he also stated that even with Salah’s stature, he is strong.
He has got the strength like Mohamed Salah. He is small in frame and size when you look at him, but do you ever see him get pushed off the ball?
“You don’t really see people take the ball off him or put him on his arse. He is a strong little guy.”
