Carlo Ancelotti is reportedly set to leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, as revealed by Radioestadio Noche on Onda Cero.

In December 2023, Ancelotti extended his stay with Real Madrid by signing a new contract that would have kept him at the club until 2026.

However, despite his deep connection to Los Blancos, the allure of exploring new challenges appears to have convinced him to move on.

Interestingly, Ancelotti had the opportunity to leave Real Madrid earlier.

The Brazilian Football Confederation showed strong interest in appointing him as the head coach of the national team, a position that would have seen him lead Neymar and company in their quest for glory.

Despite the tempting offer, he chose to stay loyal to Madrid for one final chapter.

As rumors of his departure swirl, Xabi Alonso has emerged as the leading candidate to replace him. Alonso, a former Real Madrid star and one of Spain’s most celebrated midfielders, is making waves in coaching.

Last season, he led Bayer Leverkusen to a historic Bundesliga title, showcasing his tactical brilliance and leadership skills.
